 All Clinics, practices and games for all ages will play at Ritter Rink and here is a quick glance of what you can expect for the upcoming season. We have accelerated the 2024 25 WTAA Dek Hockey season and added more games and events. We are planning a 2024-25 In-House Christmas Jamboree 12/26-12-29.

Once you have completed your registration, follow the link below to select the tryout time that best fits your schedule.

You need only select (1) tryout date. To change your date after you have submitted, you can resubmit a new form with the new date. Each session has a maximum of 50 players.

 

The tryout consists of a series of individuals drills and skills with on rink instructors. There is not a scrimmage but stick, helmet gloves, elbow & shinpads are required. Goalie gear can be provided. All penguin, beaver and cadet players are required to participate in 1 of the 3 tryout dates. For our Chipmunk Division ages 5 & 6 we are expecting to have a weekly skills group practice for hand, eye stick & ball handling fundamentals. These are essential tools, skills and building blocks for young players to develop to gain confidence and maneuverability with the ball. Because this will be for all chipmunk players you can expect we will make the drills and skills sessions fun and challenging. Also, during the chipmunk season, you can expect a team practice/game where we begin to introduce team concepts with a separate team practice followed immediately by a simulation game against an opposing WTAA chipmunk team during the same session. Days and times are not yet available as we are currently formalizing plans for each division.

 

These are 45-minute player centric sessions focused on individual ball handling, passing and shooting skills with goalies in a group setting. We have grouped the sessions by WTAA division Chipmunk, Penguin, Beaver & Cadet. This is a great opportunity for all players at every level to sharpen up their skills and prepare for the upcoming season or for new learners to the game.

 

We are actively recruiting new volunteer coaches, instructors and student leaders to get involved and help grow our game and league.
